The Lord is a sentient being and is supreme over all other living entities. His glorious activities are identical with Himself. One should therefore not indulge in hearing and speaking of the rubbish activities of worldly politicians and so-called big men in society but should mold his life in such a way that he can engage in godly activities without wasting a second.
His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
Sri Ishopanishad, Mantra 17, Purport

If one sings the name of Krishna, his eternal happiness and that of all others increases. By worshiping the name of Krishna, one worships Krishna Himself. . . . Therefore one must chant the name “Krishna,” one must describe the name “Krishna,” and one must worship the name “Krishna.”
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura
Sri Chaitanya-bhagavata, Madhya-khanda 28.26, Commentary

“Either today or in one hundred years or in some lifetime or other, Krishna will certainly bestow His mercy upon me. Therefore, I will take shelter at His lotus feet with firm determination and never leave Him.” Such an attitude and such patience are required for those practicing devotional service.
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura
Sajjana Toshani 4/9

O King, in the Age of Kali people’s intelligence will be diverted by atheism, and they will almost never offer sacrifice to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the supreme spiritual master of the universe. Although the great personalities who control the three worlds all bow down to the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord, the petty and miserable human beings of this age will not do so.
Shukadeva Gosvami
Srimad-Bhagavatam 12.3.43

The Lord’s holy name, His form and His personality are all one and the same. There is no difference between them. Since all of them are absolute, they are all transcendentally blissful.
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Madhya-lila 17.131

Of the many ways to chant Krishna’s glories, foremost is His nama-sankirtana [chanting His names]. It is deemed the best because it can evoke at once the treasure of pure love for Krishna. When relished with love in countless ways through service rendered constantly by the tongue, the nectar of Sri Krishna’s name delights the heart. Who can describe the unequaled excellence of that nectar of Sri Krishna’s holy name?
Associates of Lord Vishnu
Sri Brihad-bhagavatamrita 2.3.158–159

The Lord gives His self in the form of the deity in order that one may see, touch, and know Him.
Srila Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakura
Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.3.22, Commentary
