Human prosperity flourishes by natural gifts and not by gigantic industrial enterprises. The gigantic industrial enterprises are products of a godless civilization, and they cause the destruction of the noble aims of human life. The more we go on increasing such troublesome industries to squeeze out the vital energy of the human being, the more there will be unrest and dissatisfaction of the people in general, although a few only can live lavishly by exploitation.
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.8.40, Purport
Childish and foolish people are attached to materialistic, fruitive activities, although the actual goal of life is to become free from such activities. Therefore, the Vedic injunctions indirectly lead one to the path of ultimate liberation by first prescribing fruitive religious activities, just as a father promises his child candy so that the child will take his medicine.
Lord Krishna alone is the supreme controller, and all others are His servants. They dance as He makes them do so.
Srila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami
Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila 5.142
Simply by chanting the holy name of Krishna one can obtain freedom from material existence. Indeed, simply by chanting the Hare Krishna mantra one will be able to see the lotus feet of the Lord.
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (quoting His guru, Ishvara Puri)
Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Adi-lila 7.73
Let me take shelter of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, who has descended in the form of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to teach us real knowledge, His devotional service, and detachment from whatever does not foster Krishna consciousness. He has descended because He is an ocean of transcendental mercy. Let me surrender unto His lotus feet.
When spiritual knowledge is acquired through the process of negation (neti-neti), the Absolute Truth, which is transcendental to maya, is realized only partially. The variegated aspect of transcendence that lies much deeper within is not realized. If one who follows this process meets a personalist, self-realized Vaishnava guru, then only can he be protected from the anartha [“unwanted thing”] of impersonalism.
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura
Bhakti-tattva-viveka, Chapter 1
The syllables “Hare Krishna” and so forth emanated from the mouth of Sri Chaitanya, drowning the universe in prema, love of God. Let these names be glorified!
Srila Rupa Goswami
Laghu Bhagavatamrita 1.4
The Supreme Personality of Godhead appeared in His original form as a cowherd boy. Cheated and bewildered by His illusory potency, the world could not understand His true identity.
Sri Krishna Upanishad 1.10
