Internet Radio—Internet radio allows you to listen to music, interviews, and other programming using your computer. Because you access the radio service using the Internet, you can hear radio stations your normal radio could never pick up.
Using a piece of free software called a media player, such as Winamp or iTunes, your computer becomes a radio set, bringing music and talk to your ears from around the world.
Radio Krishna Centrale, in Italy, is one Internet radio station that brings the transcendental sounds of kirtana and bhajana into your home.
“We started to broadcast at the very beginning of the Internet era,” says Gokula Tulasi Dasa. “When Tridandi Dasa, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, started Radio Krishna Centrale, he immediately understood the great potential of the Internet to reach so many people all around the world.”
“The purpose of this site is to spread transcendental knowledge,” Gokula Tulasi says. “Gradually we have added video channels and other radio stations from all over the world, and now we have many thousands of listeners every day from around the globe.”

KHQN Radio is a fulltime Hare Krishna radio station operated by Caru Dasa from the Sri Sri Radha-Krishna temple in Utah (USA).
“I had a weekly radio show in Los Angeles called the Krishna Show. To rent time in Los Angeles is pricey, and it occurred to me that for the same amount we might be able to have a fulltime radio station somewhere else,” Charu Dasa says.
Originally KHQN Radio was a standard radio station. Then around four years ago Charu began to broadcast the channel on the Internet.
“One should have Krishna twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.” Caru says.
The format is about seventy-five percent music, twenty-five percent talk. The programs include a vegetarian show and serializations of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana.
“We play a lot of Krishna rock produced by devotees,” Charu Dasa says.

Another Internet station is Kirtanradio.com, which bills itself as an “around the clock radio” where you can constantly hear your favorite bhajanas and kirtanas. Kirtan Radio brings to you performances by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, His Holiness Indradyumna Swami, and Sri Prahlada Dasa, among many others. According to Kirtan Radio the recordings “will make your heart melt.”
