Vishakha Priya Devi Dasi

Born and raised in France, Vishakha Priya Dasi joined ISKCON in South Africa in 1978. There she helped build the Sri Sri Radha-Radhanath Temple of Understanding, started the Food for Life program in the African townships, and organized the first translation and publication of The Perfection of Yoga in Zulu. In 1991 she moved to India, where she served first as one of Giriraja Swami's personal assistants in Mumbai and then at the Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education. She currently resides in Vrindavan, where she helped develop and now manages Kirtan Ashram for senior ISKCON women. She thanks Kalachandji Dasa for his help with this article.
