Srila Raghunatha Dasa Goswami

Srila Raghunatha Dasa Goswami (1495–1586) was born in Bengal to a family of very wealthy landowners, but at the age of nineteen he left his family and traveled to Jagannath Puri to take shelter of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. After the Lord left this world, Raghunatha Dasa went to Vrindavan and received instructions from Rupa Goswami and Sanatana Goswami. He lived near Radha-kunda for the rest of his life. He worked to find and restore places of Lord Krishna’s pastimes in the area and wrote and compiled many important books.
